Sound and Audio Recordings

I record immersive sound for broadcast and installations

Lake at Sunset

Jackdaws, Song Thrush and many other birds can be heard settling in their roosts at sunset. Sadly there is no sound from the Vixen and her 2 cubs that walked silently past the microphone.

The Bats of Box D

Soprano Pipistrelle Bats (Pipistrellus pygmaeus), just before flight from Box D at Bristol Water’s Blagdon lake, North Somerset.

Lake Myvatn - lake of flies

Sounds from Iceland’s Lake Myvatn; famous for the clouds of flies that are clearly audible on this short extract. Also featured are Long-tail Ducks, Redwings and Ravens, to name but a few.
This was one of many recordings incorporated in BBC Natural World’s ‘Iceland - Land of Ice and Fire’ in 2015

Icelandic Redwing

Dr Rowan Williams (as Archbishop of Canterbury)

Extract of an interview I recorded in 2011 with Dr Rowan Williams, then Archbishop of Canterbury, and Alexander Korobko, Executive producer of Russian Hour TV.

Wind in the Oak

Wind and rain through the old oak. Audio drama.
